Rapid Access to the Services you Require in State of the Art Facilities

Warts are small, uneven growths that are often found on the hands or feet. In the vast majority of cases, warts are harmless, however they can be unsightly and in an inconvenient location, which can make them uncomfortable if they are frequently caught or knocked.

Warts are caused by a strain of the HPV (human papilloma virus) virus that is passed on through an area of broken skin. They are contagious and can be easily spread between people in close contact or those sharing a living space.

Why Have Wart Removal?

Generally, wart removal is not available on the NHS. The Manchester Private Hospital offer affordable wart removal in our state of the art, purpose built procedure room.

What Does Wart Removal Involve?

Wart removal is a surgical procedure, however in the vast majority of cases, only a local anaesthetic is required. This means that the area is completely numb during the procedure, so you won’t feel any pain; however you will be fully awake. Depending on the location, size and your preference, the wart may be removed using lasers, chemicals, freezing or surgical incision.

The procedure is quick and straightforward, with the complete treatment normally taking no more that 30 minutes.

If required, the wart will be sent for histology (testing) following removal.
