Mr Hussain has been a consultant with Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust since 2013. He graduated in medicine in 1989 with Honours and completed his surgical fellowship at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow in 1997. Following his basic training in plastic surgery in Ireland, he moved to London for higher Specialist training and completed his Intercollegiate Speciality Examination in Plastic Surgery (FRCS Plast) in 2010. Mr Hussain has had broad based training in plastic surgery and has 19 years of experience practicing in a number of disciplines of this specialty including Hand surgery, Trauma and Reconstructive surgery, Skin cancer surgery, Cosmetic surgery procedures such as Breast Augmentation, Breast Reduction, Mastopexy, Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck), liposuction/ lipofilling ( fat transfer), correction of prominent ears, scar revision, removal of moles and various nonsurgical aesthetic procedures such as use of Botox and fillers. He is a multilingual and speaks English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi and loves folk music, spending time with family, reading specialty journal articles.
